Yes. Zen Dental Center on Capitol Hill straightens teeth with ClearCorrect clear aligners. ClearCorrect works a lot like Invisalign: clear, removable trays that move your teeth a little at a time. Most treatment takes somewhere between 3 and 18 months. Dr. Richard Miyata has practiced dentistry in Seattle since 1997, and our office is at 310 Harvard Ave, Unit E.

Is ClearCorrect the same as Invisalign?

They're two different brands of clear aligners that work the same basic way. Both use a series of custom plastic trays, both are removable, and both need to be worn most of the day. At Zen Dental Center we use ClearCorrect. If you've been searching for an "Invisalign dentist," ClearCorrect is the clear aligner option we offer, and we're happy to explain how it compares at your consult.

How do clear aligners work?

  1. Exam and records. We check your teeth and gums and take the records needed to plan your treatment.

  2. Your custom aligners. Each set is made for your teeth and moves them a small step.

  3. Wear them about 22 hours a day. Take them out to eat and to brush.

  4. Switch every two weeks. Then move to the next set in your series.

  5. Check-ins about every 6 weeks. We make sure your teeth are moving the way they should.

Who are clear aligners good for?

They usually work best for mild to moderate:

  • Crowded teeth

  • Gaps between teeth

  • Bite issues

They're popular with adults who don't want metal brackets at work. If your case needs a different approach, we'll tell you.
